Fracture the Flag - Testing Feedback

This is a private group to gather feedback on the Alpha build of Fracture the Flag.

Post any bugs big and small. Or any feedback on how to make the game better.

At the moment FTF is what I'd call a "minimum viable product" it is not feature complete, but it is fully playable.

I will do my best to respond to bugs and ideas the quickest I can - but I'm a solo dev with a day job so progress may be slower than we'd all wish.

FTF - Alpha V 0.6 Build Notes
Features Added
  • The “Construction Yard” has been added and is now the source of siege weapons
  • Physics based walls are back!
  • A tech tree has replaced the upgrade menu. Each new tech costs more than the previous tech.
  • A basic melee unit (swordsman) has been added with guard, attack and patrol behaviors
  • Steam Leaderboards added for “ELO”, players beaten, games started and completion times of single player challenges
  • A self destruct button has been added to building menus
  • Single player challenges (resource based) have been added - in testing these level do not load with the Steam build.
  • A stats reset button is now shown for purposes of testers
  • Flags added to buildings to help identify ownership
  • Keys can now be re-mapped via the settings menu
  • Settings menu now includes support for multiple monitors - change requires a restart of the game

Updates
  • Damage scripts (bombs and siege weapons) have been greatly improved
  • Multiple workers harvesting lumber will no longer attempt to harvest the same tree
  • Workers harvesting lumber will look for trees nearest the lumber mill
  • Staged player UI no longer shows buttons for other players
  • Tweaks to colors and image effects
  • Axes and picks have been added to workers to correspond to their current job
  • Physics material added to bricks along with other physics balancing with siege weapons
  • Catapults and ballista are no longer in the build menu - now requires a tech upgrade
  • Workers no longer run to a campfire when created. Workers will only go to campfire when they have been “unemployed”
  • Selection menus will appear towards the outside of the screen rather than the middle - making them less “in the way”
  • There is now a minimum distance between flags - prevents a form of “turtling”
  • The HUD and all UI should now scale better for both 720p and 1080p displays
  • Build size down to 200 MB from 300 MB

Bugs Fixed
  • Camera motion has been refined in particular around obstacles
  • Bombers can now change targets while moving - waypoints can be added by holding shift
  • Settings menu is new and scales correctly
  • Placement of buildings near workers has been improved/polished
  • Siege weapon movement is more reliable
  • No longer able to select opponents buildings
  • Box selection fixed
  • Bug fixed where players saw no UI when joining a random game
  • Archers once again work

No its not. It's why the game never goes on sale and why the price has never come down :)
