The inspiration for FTF was originally my childhood memories of play "crossbows and catapults" as a kid. You build a wall out of brick and hid a flag in your tower. Players took turns trying to knock down their opponents walls and flags. I didn't own the game, but a good friend did. It was one of my favorites.
