Man.

Its been a few months since I played this, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I still can't help but think on it to this day.
I'm still in the middle of a second playthrough, but every time I think back to those 8 long years of the wait, joining up with other hollow knight fans to build something together with them, all that time waiting and anticipating this gem of a game with them.

And after 8 long years, running through it with those same homies, discussing our findings, and so much more, It's safe to say it was well worth the wait.

Is it hard? Yes, very much so, this is a game that expects you to have played the original and intends to have an experience harder than its predecessor, but EVERYTHING is an improvement over the original if you ask me - from the music production, the art, the story and its themes, its ABSOLUTE SIZE and the SHEER AMOUNT OF CONTENT stuff into a TWENTY DOLLER GAME.

Look at my hour count. This is more than base hollow knight, this is just under a little bit of the OG Hollow Knight, and that wasn't even hitting 100% completion.
There are so many interactions with this game, between game mechanics and NPCs, or environment changes throughout the course of that game, characters that I have simply fallen in love with and I swear to god it brings me back to like, when Undertale or Deltarune first released, or even when Hollow Knight itself came out back in 2017

My point is, despite the sheer difficulty, this is a generational kind of game, something I don't think we'd ever get in a long time. This is akin to Disco Elysium, except where Disco is a tragedy taken from its artists, Silksong is a triumph made by three guys and some help along the way by contractors and the likes
oh, and they STILL plan on adding more to it, so don't expect Silkposting to ever disappear any time soon.

I encourage you all reading this, whether your Metroidvania fans, people just discovering it through youtube or other social media, fans of the previous game or likewise just want a game to sink a whole week if not a whole MONTH into, to get this game. For its price and the amount of content and detail, it is more than a steal, it is highway robbery through multiple art museums.

Get this damn game, you will not regret it whatsoever.
