Resident Evil 4 is an iconic survival horror game from an iconic series known and beloved by most. The game is set in Spain where you take the role of Leon Kennedy, A US agent responsible for rescuing the president's daughter who has been kidnapped however when you get there things go wrong very quickly.


Unlike most Resident Evil 4 players, I have never played Resident Evil 4 or any of the games from the series until recently. I was completely new to Resident Evil 4. As soon as I started the game I was caught off guard by the camera system and aiming system that the game utilizes as I have never seen or experienced anything quite like it. It felt clunky, slow, and difficult to use. This made the game feel harder than it already is, the game is already not the easiest out there. On the plus side, I felt as though the game's visuals are rather decent considering the game first came out in 2005.


After some time of playing Resident Evil 4 I had gotten used to the camera and aim, it immediately felt more natural to me and I enjoyed it. I felt engaged in the absurd and unique story because of its unique characters and setting. The game's difficulty felt rewarding and as I got better at the game the more rewarding it felt.


Resident Evil 4 has some of the most memorable characters I think I will ever come across in a game. Ranging from the protagonists to the antagonists. Leon's one-liners will never cease to amuse, Ashley's clunkiness and constant screaming while being annoying is memorable and is part of what makes Resident Evil 4 feel like, well Resident Evil 4 and the oh-so-loveable merchant with his unique voice and voice lines that you are bound to never forget and always recognize. Even the basic enemies, the ganados are memorable and I will personally never forget them screaming out in Spanish or mumbling in Spanish,


After having beat the game I felt satisfied having played such a fun and memorable game and would happily replay it over and over again, if replaying the story isn't your thing the game offers you an extras option with extra game modes that you can play and challenge yourself with to scratch that Resident Evil 4 itch.


Resident Evil 4 is a fantastic game even that can be enjoyed far after its release, whether you are a new player or just revisiting the game it is incredibly fun and memorable. The game is far from perfect as it does have some moments where it isn't fun or not as fun as it can be but I found these moments few and far in between.

I highly recommend the game to everyone and is worth its price tag and even more if it is on sale.
