Mouthwashing is one of those games that leaves you with a deep feeling once you finish it – the same sensation as when you complete a game at 250% and have nothing left to do, just staring at the landscape one last time before uninstalling it.

The game tells the story of five people on a commercial spaceship transporting cargo. But then an accident happens… and a chain of events follows. I can’t tell you more without spoiling the experience.

Mouthwashing explores deep topics about humanity: existential crises, taking responsibility even in difficult moments, and much more.

The game is only about two hours long, but I can assure you – you will remember it for a long time.

The way the story unfolds in a non-chronological order is brilliant, as it all comes together at the very end – almost like the endings of the Saw movies.

But unlike Saw, this game doesn’t rely on jump scares or gory graphics. Instead, it plays on a psychological level. Sometimes you’ll only hear sounds and be forced to imagine what is happening – which makes it much, much worse.

As for the achievements, I personally found them a bit boring: mostly collectibles and miscellaneous tasks.they are accessible through a developer menu, so you don’t even have to replay the entire game. It takes about one hour to get 100%.

If you’re even slightly curious, buy it and play it.
It’s worth your time and your money.
