Ask someone who deeply enjoys Greek mythology Hade's two is definitely right up my alley, Haven't beaten the Kronos boss fight yet but that's the beauty of this game that one more try mentality.

OK so this is the second owl cat game that I took time to sit down and finish, even though I had owned the game for years it just sat in my library until a couple of months ago When I finally decide to sit down and do a full play through, As a blue teeth ling who became a golden dragon.

Okay so this was the first owl cat game that I've ever played to completion and I'm not there fan of Warhammer 40K. Though I'm very intrigued with the upcoming DLC and the new character classes I might do another play through at some point.

The other worlds is basically what happens when someone who was supposed to be assassinated wasn't, Much like with the fallout games a key event in history resulted in the events of the outer worlds what is this key event you may ask.

Well that key event is the assassination of President William McKinley in our world that ushered in Teddy Roosevelt and he went on to trust bust corporations of the day a enforcing the antitrust act but in the outer worlds this did not happen mckinley lived spelling disaster for the nation for you see without Teddy Roosevelt's trust busting the corporation's grew ever more powerful and when the Great War came and went they seized power away from the sovereign nations forming the board to super that now overseas the day to day of the corps.

Now onto the game essentially we play as a colonist who was awoken from Cryogenic stasis by a scientist who sees you as the best hope for undoing that vice like grip the corporations have over the Colonies.

Much like in fallout new Vegas the player character can be just about anyone a savage brute a shrewd negotiator a corporate stooge or even a liberator.

The player's actions are also reflected in the loading screens for example if you travel to the the colony that's supposed to be off limits and negotiate a peace agreement between the cultists and the leader of the one corporation that actually is trying to make changes and treat its workers with respect you'll get a new loading screen image that represents this agreement between two factions.

I also note that the outer world falls into what is known as hard sci-fi Which is the sub genre of science fiction where instead of extraterrestrials that have human intelligence there's just alien creatures with humans being the only intelligent life in the universe you even get a quest where you find out the leader of one of the factions she's crazy she thinks aliens are real even though it's been proven in universe that there are no aliens.

I wish there was a neutral option when it came to making reviews.

To be honest this is the first time I bought a Bethesda game at launch because I had never experienced one of their games without having to utilize The unofficial patches.

To start with the good.

The character creation is one of the games strong suits because the treats essentially allow you to create a bit of a backstory for your protagonist.

To name one example for one playthrough the character I created is a street rat from neon who took part in an experimental procedure where they had alien creature DNA spliced into theirs then they decided to join the space serpent religion.

Game is also a lot like Oblivion in terms of story progression where the protagonist start out mundane but over time become extraordinary.

Customizing your own starship can also be fun to do once you get up to the level of being able to make a stellar custom ship anyway.

And the different factions feel similar to different guild in the elder scrolls.

The megacorp seems to take aspects from the thieves guild.

And it's cool that with every new save file the planets that do not have a major settlement on them change up each playthrough.

I'm out of ideas.

the negatives Outweigh the positives in this case Spoiler warning for the twist with the starborn

Starfield falls into the hard sci-fi sub genre of science fiction, for those wondering what that means it basically is that there are no intelligent life in the universe except for humans, Because it kind of shows that Bethesda's writing has tanked if they don't want to create alien races and give them their own unique lore in history.

The problem with the traversal of planets is Bethesda really should have given us kind of moon buggy to get around because as it stands it takes Over 10 minutes to walk The points of interest or wherever the artifact is located or the temple.

Sprinting is pretty much useless because for some reason on planets that have oxygen.

One of the weakest weak aspect is the starborn when they first show up you think are we going to run into aliens but nope turns out they're just humans from a alternate Universes.

We need to talk about the bugs. From what I've seen from my playthroughs a majority of the bugs tend to be caused by how the creation engine handles interiors because depending on where the NPC spawns they can end up stuck inside something.

I had a spacer gets stuck inside a wall and then he capitulated.

The tracker at the Hope tech rest stop end up spawning inside the bar top if you simply reload a save standing in the rest stop.

A coworker I know at work mentioned while he was playing through the Free Star Rangers quest line the Marshall ended up spawning in the ceiling of his office that completely breaks the quest if you can't talk to him because he's stuck in the ceiling he had no choice but to activate, no clip just to talk to the Marshell.

One thing that was fun to do in skyrim that you can't even do in star field is murder spreeze you can't go up to shopkeepers and murder them because they're now essential when at least in skyrim there were basically backup npcs in place that would replace the shopkeeper if you murdered them.

I haven't exactly touched starfield since I got up to the point where we find out how Earth got f*****, Because I was unbelievably burned out after only 83 hours that's not good if you want players to Remain interested there needs to be more substance.

this is one of the game's that motivated me to build a proper gaming PC earlier this year.

I completed the game yesterday and I enjoyed the wild ride.

Nightwing has the easiest traversal ability to use being a mechanical glider that is extremely easy to use.

red hoods traversal ability basically turns them into Golden Age Superman allowing him to infinitely leap over tall buildings you can leap over the gotham bay to each island.

I will note if you want an experience similar to the Arkham series, I highly recommend playing through the game is Batgirl once you unlock her traversal ability to glide it's very similar to Batman's being tough to master but once you do will make those glide challenges a breeze.

spoiler warning for the super villains

I will also note that the villains cases remind me of certain episodes from Batman the Animated Series / the new Batman adventures.

Particularly the Harley Quinn case reminds me of the Never Fear episode from tnba were scarecrow created a reverse fear toxin that shut down inhibition. In this case Harley created a device that could hijack a brain implant that was created to control inhibition and shut off said inhibitions.

Mr. freeze is basically his cold comfort incarnation he's essentially giving up on his Humanity attempts to Freeze Gotham over.

the negatives

the only negative I can really give against this game is that it's crashed on me a few times but that might be because I was running on Max settings with Ray tracing.

Must play if you enjoyed Persona 5/Persona 5 Royal. P5 Strikers overarching story ties directly back into the events of P5/P5R even though the Phantom thieves defeated MASAYOSHI SHIDO he still has allies, who attempted to continue his plan to turn Japan into a dictatorship. hopefully Persona 5 Royal come to PC next.

I will note there are some technical issues the game has crashed three times on me the first crash was after the cutscene that occurs after the tutorial fight, the second crash occurred after the cut scene that played ever completely in the 3rd jail, the 3rd crash happened after unlocking the warden for the final jail. so my advice make sure to save as often as possible.

Persona 4 Golden is where the Persona series really started to come into its own. the game gives off a Twin Peaks vibe, with at the player character coming to a seemingly sleepy town to stay with his uncle for a year only to end up in embroiled in a murder mystery.

this was the first Telltale Game I ever bought, in my play there I was trying to keep Bigby as close to how he's portrayed in the comics as possible, and tried to do things that's snow approved of because he trying to win her heart, which he eventually does in the Fable comics.

But finding out that the second season is an epic exclusive however is a massive kick in the teeth to everybody who owns the Wolf Among us season 1, but I do understand why the new management is choosing to put the second season of The Wolf Among Us on the said inferior platform, given the telltale's games has just gotten back on their feet it wouldn't be financially wise to release the second season on Steam just yet.
