the only way to put out such a fire is to smother it, to deprive it of oxygen, and hope it can be tamed


after many failed attempts to try and douse the flames, i begin to use my body as a blanket
i’m now desperate no longer sure if i’m the extinguisher or the accelerant…


i question my own intelligence,
how am i playing with fire at my own detriment?


first, second, and third degree burns,
so much unnecessary pain i’ve endured…


so, what… am i simply a fool?


i already knew that fire only consumes
i knew better... and yet i still stayed close to you
