Its been 30 hours since it began. Doomsday, The Apocalypse, The Rapture; no one knows what caused it, why, or how. You're not worrying about that now though, you're only worrying about surviving. Early on Sunday morning you were woken. The ground shaking stronger than any earthquake you've ever experienced, and only moments the sounds of the Earth shaking were joined by every working car alarm for miles. You unsteadily climbed to your feet and stumbled into the street your mouth fell open at the sight before you, the large city nearby to your own suburb was engulfed in flame.

The skyscrapers looking like massive torches in the night sky, more than one falling in the matter of the minute that you stood in shock watching. Somehow and maybe a bit surprisingly, after gathering a few things you managed to make it to a emergency shelter though your mind can't comprehend exactly how. Just on your 2 hour trip there there you witnessed crime of all sorts; mugging, looting, rape and murder. Even worse though was what you couldn't explain, what you couldn't chalk up to panicked humans in a terrifying situation. Seeing perfectly cleaned skeletons in a pool of blood with not a piece of fleash to be found and a man walking aimlessly down the middle who melted with each step until a flesh colored puddle was left.

Inside the shelter was barely any better, panic, terror people wanting to know what was going on. Families grieving over the dead or lost, children alone. No one was anywhere near ok, moreso when the shelter quickly filled nad locked its doors to sounds of banging and screaming outside. The emergency broadcasts, though imageless, were able to help in no way other than tell you this was happening world wide, no where was safe. Reports poured in faster than they could be broadcast; entire cities aflame like yours. Others seemingly seared off the planet by giant beams of blue light leaving nothing but scorched Earth where they once stood. More still, seemingly like they were scooped right out of the planet with a hole left behind or others that were left spotless, but every living thing within miles had simply disappeared. The least surprising thing to happen since waking up to this destruction was when the power went out.

People huddled around lanterns and flashlights or tried to sleep, some managed to. Your head rolled with thoughts though, and you couldn't sleep, perhaps its why you survived whatever happened next. A scream lasting only a fraction of a second before being cut-off. Then screams echoed and rang through the below ground, concrete structure. The sounds of people screaming were rivalled only by the sounds of flesh and bone being rent asunder. Being knocked to and fro and nearly trampled in the stampede, you managed to get out with a handful of others. The shelter of eighteen hundred people was nothing more than a bloodbath, with only seven surviving. You huddle together in a nearby park, dimly lit by a burning skyscraper nearby you try and clean yourself of blood and bits before you gather yourself for whats next because you know, this is only the beginning.

This is where it begans, you can have any filler you like before this point. You can live here, be visiting, be homeless. As long as you wake up that morning, go to the center, and end up as one of the seven survivors.
