Wargaming is arguably the precursor to RPGs, via games like Chainmail[en.wikipedia.org], yet while RPGs and Wargames do largely differ, there are areas that share concepts; one key one is narrative. Just as in an RPG the players create the story, so in a Wargame there is a story about why the belligerents are fighting. We’re also seeing more and more wargames leaning into the idea of why more story in a wargame is a good idea! This panel will roll 6d6 to discuss!
