I guess I'm trying to convince myself to either go ahead and do it now, since Fry's got some sales on some parts, or waiting for the bigger sale of just "later" in production/dev cycles. Or at least next Black Friday.

I can play XCOM2 with... not top in-game settings: I have to go one notch down from true 1080p HD resolution, and most graphics settings are 2nd or 3rd from the lowest settings, but then gameplay is without any stutter I can tell.

As much as I frakkin WANT to make a new beast rig: wallet. Plus, I'm hybrid pc/console gamer: XCOM 2's the only PC game I got that's gotten to stressing my computer (well, earlier versions of XCOM1 Long War DID stutter like crazy.... when I Blaster'ed a 6-pack o' Berserkers to Reaction Move into a Rift. So, it's not like it's killing my overall gameplay enjoyment.

XCOM 1, Bureau, Portal 1 & 2, Super Hot, all work at max settings no problem, and, comparison point; PCSX2 can run at double native resolution with no problem, either (and only a little bit of door loading delay with action games like Castlevania: Lament of Innocence).

I'm thinking about building a new rig from parts, wanted to get a second opinion on how much life my current rig has got left--- or what I could sell it for nowadays to put twards the new one.
Current specs:

Dell Studio XPS 435 MT ('08 release date--- coulda sworn I've had this longer)
*CPU: Intel i7 920 (8M Cache, 2.66 GHz, 4.80 GT/s Intel® QPI quad-core) (1st gen-- yes, really. At 6th now, I believe?)
* RAM:16gb ram DDR3 (4x4gb 1333 hz)
*Vid card: ASUS N-Vidia GeForce GT630-SL (2GB)
**GPU clock: 0902, Memory Clock: 1800, looks like I can't nudge it from that without it crashing and going back to that, not sure if I'm doing something wrong/missing something.
*OS HD: 500 GB SSD -- Samsung V-Nand 850 EVO
+2x2tb ol' platters for storage
* Win7 Home Premium, 64-bit
*Windows Experience Index: (1.0-to-7.9 scale)
**Processor: 7.4
**RAM: 7.4
**Graphics: Windows Aero 5.5
**Gaming Graphics: 6.8
**Primary HD/transfer rate: 6.9

Any other stats I should list here/elsewhere if I were to sell?
