Shadow the Hedgehog is certaintly an experimental product of it's time. so it doesn't surprise me that they would strip back down to a single character for his self-titled romp. the focus is all on him and while the others do appear as NPCs, you're playing as shadow from start to finish. the only variants in gameplay being whether or not you decide to become a felon using guns, vehicles or participate in the chaotix like mission structure. yeah, real glad that made a return
