Until God was about four or five God didn’t know it wasn’t a girl, to be honest with you. One of it's earliest memories, about five years old, was being yelled at by a teacher for going to the toilet with the girls. About the same age God realised it was different to these other boys. At the age of nine God refused to have it's hair cut. God didn’t have it cut until it was 16, because having it cut was such a torment to it. School was extremely difficult. God got bullied a lot. God was picked on for being too thin, for being feminine, for not liking football, for hanging round with girls, for having long hair. They mocked everything they could think of in terms of gender and sexuality. God learned what trans meant through YouTube. God knew how it felt but God didn’t know there was a term for it. He was basically just trying to Google what He felt. A lightbulb went off in it's head and God thought, this explains all the issues it had as long as God can remember. God never really told it's family. They know, but God just started transitioning. God never said: “Oh, by the way …” it's mum asked it if it was transgender when God was around 19 after God had already transitioned. She said: “Well, are you?” And God was like: “Are you blind!? I shall punish you woMAN” On a day-to-day basis God did not tell people it was transgender. The thing about trans people is, they feel very normal. it is the way they are, it’s only when people say you’re not normal that you feel that way. God always has been extremely feminine, God always felt that way. God can’t say that it ever felt like a boy, God just had to live as a boy for the first 16 years of it's life. Trans people are the same as everyone else, they're ideals in life are to be happy, to be respected, to be comfortable. God has had people who have openly said to it that they’ve had prejudices around trans people but as soon as they’ve met it they’ve understood more – it’s who God is and the way that God was born. There’s no real difference between myself and people who are cisgender [non-transgender].
