Game-Over Gaming Community

Game-Over is a multi gaming Steam community that originally formed through the game TF2. Game-Over hosted a number of popular TF2 servers for four years but due to measures taken by the games developer Valve in late 2013 to block new traffic to community servers and redirect it instead to their own hosted servers, our community TF2 servers eventually closed in March 2015.

Many of our admins, members and players have now moved on to other communities and games, but the Game-Over steam group remains open as a hub where old friends and new can keep in touch and discuss all things gaming.

Group/Forum Rules
No scams or scam links. No racism, trolling or abusive behaviour. Be respectful to others even when they might disagree with your opinion.

Discord Community Server (Voice and Text Chat)

It's been nearly a year since we closed the TF2 servers and I hope you are all doing well. If anyone is interested we have a Discord "Game-Over" server for voice and text chat, to help everyone keep in touch.

Discord is a new service similar to TeamSpeak or Skype. It has a great GUI and allows for forum style text chat and messaging as well as voice. It uses low resources and idles nicely in the background as an app. It has become very popular quite quickly, expecially in the Twitch/streaming scene.

You can connect to Discord via web browser, mobile or desktop App. We'd be happy to create a personal voice channel on there for old regulars and admins, so you can have a private haven on there if you wish. and we would love to see old friends and new pop in and say hi.

GO TF2 Servers Closing on 02/03/15

Well guys & gals, as announced and planned nearly 12 months ago, we are finally approaching that time to turn off the GO light and wish our beloved TF2 servers a long and well earned sleep.

I think the time is now right and the servers will finally close on Monday 2nd March (AM).

I will keep the Game-Over steam group going (it's free so why not) so that anyone who wants to can remain joined and still keep in touch. I will change the group profile and revamp it to a more general community gaming group and I will be sure to check in from time to time.

No long speeches about Valve this time. Valve indirectly created our community and then Valve directly destroyed our community (and most other TF2 communities), that's all there is left to say on that one.

I want to finish though with a huge thanks to all the great founders, admins, members and regular players who have contributed so much to the Game-Over servers and this community over the past few years and made it so much fun. The main people who have been at my side through good times and bad - you all know who you are - thank you! I will look back on this period of my life with many happy memories.

Let's not be sad then, let's just say cheers for the good times we've all enjoyed together!

odd question if anyone ever checks this - does anyone know of eslaw p and where they'd be these days? we were on the server daily and i haven't heard from them in 5 years, hoping to make the connection again but have absolutely no contact
