United We Stand; Divided We Fall

The Confederation was formed in 2140 when moon and mars colonies started to pop up. They started to spread the human race across the galaxy. But they ran into problems like the Poseen, a carnivourus reptile race that tried to invade earth more then once. After the humans fended them off all times the started to reform the government. They out it into 3 levels:
ministers
chancelors
and senators.

GOVERNMENT:
The government is split into 3 levels [look up].WIth the ministers being the highest, the people who have some power is the chancelors, and the lowest level being senators. The confederation is led by a prime minister, who's second in command is the supreme chancelor who will have power during prime minister elections and when the prime minister is away or dead.
Each minister has a chancelor whow ill take their place if they cant attaend meeting. The chancelors have senators.

MILITARY:
The military is divided into 2 branches:
Mobile Infantry
and The Combined Fleet.
They are both led by one sky marshall who can choose his 3 generals and admirals.
