Esports Communities and Competitions

This is a brand new section on CyberGamer and it’s dedicated to the female players involved within our gaming community here in Australia. The section aims to create a non-discriminate place where all Australian female gamers regardless of experience, platform or community status can come together, meet other girls and interact in an enjoyable environment.

Things that will be featured on the site and around the community include:
- A Forum: encouraging everyone to get involved and have their say. Share your stories and how you got into this lost world of gaming.
- News: updates of international, national or even grassroots teams, players and organisations doing their thing (to keep you informed of what’s going on in the world)
- Articles, polls, blogs, interviews, and reviews from the community: we want to know what you rate, what you hate and what you’re up to.
- Tips, Tactics and Tutorials: Got a really cool skill set? Post it up and help out some people who have no clue. Really good at a game? Teach some others. It all helps.
- Game Nights: weekly or monthly game nights can be held with polls deciding what game for the week and what format whether it’s all girls, girls vs. guys or mixed... it’s totally up to the community!
- Competitions: Sooo... of course there’s always free stuff but we want to pick your brain first. Take your chances in some of our competitions and go in the running to win some cool FREE stuff.
- Some really awesome stuff in progress: You’ll have to keep up your support and wait and see ;)

Many of our features aim to introduce casual female players to the world of competitive gaming in order to build the competitive community from a different perspective. We do not want to segregate the community, so we’re making it an open space for everyone to enjoy, the only difference is that the feature of the topics will be aimed toward the female audience. So guys, please be respectful and take into account we want your input and we want your support, if you have any helpful contributions we want you to share them.

So go over, check it out, and let us know what you think. Have any female friends or know some family members who might like gaming? Send them over! We’ll show them how it’s done. However... keep in mind if there is any disruption to the peace the ban stick will be firmly in place.
