GW2 Server & Mumble

Ok the server we've decided upon for now is DRAGONBRAND. Rumor has it that every server will be pretty high population so there is a chance that over the next few days ArenaNet will open more servers and grant transfers. We will play that by ear.

Mumble server is up and running, it has 20 slots. Details as follows:

Don't feel obligated to join mumble right away, I probably won't be on until later tomorrow or Sunday, unless you guys really want me to. I kind of want to play the game at a slow, enjoyable pace for a bit without hearing your grating, annoying voices. If you guys have any questions feel free to call or text me or Justin.

GW2 Release

Ok guys, so yeah, GW2 is around the corner. I know some of you may not be playing right away but hopefully we'll see you ingame sooner rather than later.

Server has not been decided upon yet but I'll post here when that decision is made and we'll at least get in touch with everyone through texts to confirm. I'll also be renting a 15-20 man Mumble server for us. No big deal, will only cost like $3 a month. You can download Mumble here: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/

It's the new Ventrillo and it's become very popular within GW2. Lower bandwith usage, more stable and compatible codec, feature rich and it has great support form the developers. It's very similar in functionality to Ventrillo just overall better.

Now for some reading material to pass the time. I highly recommend you read through this thread for general information on the game:

So that's all I have for now. Server announcment is coming within a few days, I think the main issue is waiting to see where some of the other larger, more popular game communities go in case we either want to follow or avoid them.

Hmm, in that case I might be able to play a little after my 2:00 PM class. Then back to the books until like Thursday. If I can make it past Thursday I'll be golden ;P

I figured it out, you have to actually be on steam for it to register you as online. Also at 53% right now so should be done fairly soon. Only took like an hour... Anyways, as for tonight I have to raid Hard Mode Anub and then work on more midterm crap. Don't know if I will be on. I'll try.

Not sure about the online/offline thing. I just gifted you the game. You should now see it under the "my games" tab and if you right click it you can preload it. I'm off to install Windows 7 now so I will be indisposed for about 2-4 hours.

Like how Steam says I'm offline when I'm clearly online. Anyways, where do I download this game at?
