PLEASE READ!!! -- Some thoughts on grouping in guild

Hey guildies!

we've recently hit the 50+ mark in terms of members! Whlie that's a good thing, I've also had people mention to me that they are having difficulty finding other members to play with. Despite the fact that most guild members are in both the steam group and the in game guild, there are still barriers preventing ppl from grouping up, namely:

• in-game guild is not very useful: it allows you to see members but not easily add them to games. information is hidden in community panel.
  
• steam group is a bit more helpful, but you cannot chat with members unless they are on your friends list.
  
• to view group members in group panel, you have to have under a certain number of players and we've passed the limit.

the end result of this is that they cannot find members unless they're added to their friend's list, and most people are not going to get into their friends list unless they play together (it's a vicious cycle!!).

Thus i'm proposing a solution that will help new members find games and connect with other players in the guild. It's pretty simple:

• make a forum post introducing yourself to the guild. The forum can be found by following these steps: steps[imgur.com]
  
• frequent the forum and add anyone who's introduced themselves that you'd like to play with. alternatively you can reply to the message and ask that they invite you.
  
• once you add someone to your list, tag them as a guild member so that you can find them easily. instructions on how to do this can be found here: steps[imgur.com]

I feel as though this will help bridge the gap between joining the guild and actually being able to play with your guild members. Still, this system will only be effective if people join in and start making use of it, so please do!!!

if you're read this far, fantastic, you're probably a guild member that's interested in making things better! I am too. I will probably be going through a round of cuts sometime in the near future to get rid of some members who are not grouping with others. Your participation in this initiative will go a long way to helping the guild expand properly, as well as ensure your place in the guild's future!
