With apex merely days away, we’re re-adjusting our focus back to ArmA 3 and with this comes some (overdue) changes.

• Back to business

As some of you will have noticed, recent ArmA sessions have been relatively laid back compared to for instance, the Takistan campaign. Moving into Tanoa, we’ll once again be aiming for a more serious, immersive and hopefully enjoyable experience.

• Public events

We will also be introducing public events such as the old hardcore wednesdays and public zeus sessions. We want to try and include the public more in what we do to help build a strong community around the clan like the old days. Future events will be announced well in advance on both the website and the steam group, so make sure to keep an eye out!

• Tanoa beta testing

This weekend (8/7/2016) we’ll be beta testing the Tanoa version of Special Operations 2! In order to join these events, you’ll have to download the apex development branch of ArmA 3 via steam. No mods will be required.

Here’s some things to look forward to in this new version:

• Redesigned tasks & defensive structures specifically for Tanoa.
  
• Brand new base to launch our operations from and call home.
  
• Added Syndikat as a third faction for NATO vs BLUFOR vs SYNDIKAT combat.
  
• Improved Noticeboard (as requested) allows for more specific teleportation to keep the reinforcements flowing and give more purpose to the Platoon Leader role.
  
• Boats can be spawned for NATO just north of the base in the NATO controlled ‘Forbidden Village’.
  
• Renewed virtual arsenal.
  
• Scuba gear & Submersibles for Ghost Recon allowing for tactical underwater deployment and reconnaissance gathering.
  
• Ammo in arsenal inventory (as requested) allowing for easier ammo resupplying for public members and Ammo Bearers.
  
• Tonnes of bug fixes.

• Inactivity and recruits

Finally, we’ll be going over inactivity of members and further refining our recruitment system in order to improve attendance.
