Welcome to the Smashboards TF2 Highlander Steam group.

Currently, we're looking into a best of 3 koth game for our first time. We'll play on a single map, which is undecided and will probably be chosen democratically, and play with standard competitive format rules. (No random crits, fixed wep spread, no dmg spread, sv_pure 2). The date for this is currently undecided, however stay active and check the forums regularly. We don't want anybody absent from this. Also, get this group filled, we should have 19 people in here.

Teams:
The teams were decided on a completely random roll done by Tery. No choosing by either captain was involved. Depending on how these teams work, we may continue to use them, randomly pick teams again, or attempt to assign teams to the best of our abilities in order to balance them.

TF2 Highlander event in 10 minutes

The event will start at 4:00pm PST (7:00pm EST). The server will be hosted by my (Krynxe) and will be passworded. The password will be "swfevent" and there will be a steam group chat for the event. (I'll leave it up to tery to send out the invitations for that.)

The current rules are as follows:
Teams
- Each class is represented once.
- Switching classes mid-game is allowed, you must trade classes with another player or choose a class with no player playing it to maintain the class limit of 1. There will be no physical class limit, so it's up to the players to follow the rules respectfully.

Items
- Full item set bonuses are banned, if you plan on using those either forfeit one of the weapons or the hat.
- The Enforcer and Dead Ringer are mutually exclusive. You can only use one or the other.

The map will be koth_viaduct for a best 2/3. Team names may be chosen by the teams when we meet up, either democratically or by the captain.

Our first Highlander event - 23 Dec

The date of our first Highlander event is in discussion for the 23rd of Dcemeber. Due to a lack of objection in the thread, this seems like the best time for everyone to host the event. Until then, if anybody has a problem with this date please post your absence in the group comments or the swf thread. If we has less than 3 people unable to attend, we will likely use substitutes rather than changing the date, so try to be there. The time is undecided, but will probably be in the afternoon. (Estimated noon-4 PST, 3-7pm EST) Don't forget to check the thread for rules for the match. I don't want to have to disqualify anybody considering the size of our group.
