God planted the tree of knowledge and kicked Adam and Eve out for eating from it. Sounds like he didn't want us to know something...
Satan, however, wanted for us to learn of the evils in our world. Including the ones God is responsible for. (All of them) The fictional novel known as the Bible has quite a few holes in the plot of the storyline. :p
