NSF Joint Operations

I hereby announce that the unit is being shut down. This may not come as a surprise to many. As lately there have been few operations and little activity in general.

This is a result of many things different causes. First i would like to bring up the matter of time. Most of us which have been working "behind the scenes" have ordinary to busy lives. This leaves little room and wish for doing additional work.

Planning a realistic operation requires time and energy. You have to pick the gear and equipment to use, make a story, script/mod it, set up chain of command and organise the whole thing. If you put all of this together you have quite the extensive task, which bear in mind is all done voluntarily.

In addition if you take in mind that the Arma 3 units "market" is heavily saturated. There are too many units for them all to be filled up with players. This makes it difficult to keep the unit growing and leaves little interested to keep it going. As it's very likely the end result would be the same as now.

However. The teamspeak and steam group will stay up as a forum for people to get together and keep playing Arma or any other games on their own terms. The google docs will stay up for any who wish to scavange them for information. There you can find the official and not so more WIP NSF handbook which can teach you all about the Ace medical system and basic military procedures.

I would like to end this with a recommendation to any who still lingers for some MILSIM action. Go ahead and join another unit. There is plentifull of amazing groups out there who does thing miles better and more often than we ever did over at NSF.
