Weekly Announcement 01/11/15

Hello all! There's a few things that I want to say:

First off, the Cards Against Humanity session has been moved to this Saturday at 11:30 PM EST. This time is not set in stone, however, as I may be busy working on a chemistry experiment at that time. If there is a better time for anyone, please let me know as soon as possible.

Dr. Procrastinator (rune dabid) is our Group Player of the Week since he made a post about the group on LOLPics and helped to spread the word about this group on LOLPics.

If anyone has any suggestions for any kind of activities that the group could host, feel free to post them here or in the discussions; that way, we can host some fun events for everyone.

Regarding the curator status, I made a section of the discussions in which you can give game recommendations so that people will know what games the LOLPics community recommends. Feel free to recommend any game, even ones that have already received critical acclaim.

I thank you for taking the time to read this announcement, and I hope to get more events up and running soon!

Announcement #2 (I'm bad with titles :v)

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say a few things to you all.

First, I'd like to thank those who have promoted this group on LOL Pics and a special thanks to DoubtfulHen754 (ninja_nick) and Dr.procrastinator (rune dabid) for posting a picture and drawing attention for the group. Because of this, Doubtfulen754 is our Group Player of the Week, and Dr.procrastinator will be next week's Group Player of the Week.

While the holidays are just about over, I was thinking of having some kind of event that everyone can be involved in. If anyone has any suggestions (ie, a tournament or something along the lines of that), please let me know so that it can be scheduled before our lives become busy once more. It can be involving a game on Steam or a game not on Steam (for example, a Smash Bros tournament or Pokemon battles). It could even be something like a big Cards Against Humanity game. There could be prizes for people that win and whatnot. I'm not 100 percent sure when this event might be, but I'm aiming to have it on a weekend so that we can get as many people to participate as possible.

I've been thinking of making weekly announcements for the group to keep things up to date and to help plan events and whatnot. If this would annoy you, please let me know as I do not wish to fill up people's inboxes.
