What is a duelserver?
Soon after the launch of WotR people started craving for a more "fair" enviroment to get their metal tested. Too often it happened, that the winning team on the battlefield just brought the mass, not the class. Thus, the first duelservers opened their gates. Detailed rules may be different on every server, but one thing was ensured: It is always 1 vs 1.
Gentleman´s Duelserver honors this tradition and tries to keep the spirit of duelling alive! Feel free to join and see how good you really are.

Hold your Horses, how does duelling work?
Good Sir, you have already taken the hardest step by simply asking. Duelling itself is really easy: You join our Server, go to the main field and raise your weapon above your head. Just watch if the guy you are facing imitates that gesture. If he does, you may start transforming each other´s face into pulp. But beware! From that point on it is you or him.

And we all do as well. Nevertheless the Admins will enforce a few rules, which we would like you to know.
1) No horses are allowed within the field. No, it does not matter if you ride slowly. No, it does not matter if you only use them to quickly bandage people across the field. Yes, jousting is entirely fine - outside the field.
2) Guns, Bows and Crossbows are allowed within a duel. However, if you accidently shoot other people or are by other means mistaken for a Randomer, Admins will not help you settle that matter. You want to use ranged weapon? use them reasonable.
3) Randoming is forbidden by all means. Randoming describes the behaviour of randomly attacking a person on the field. It defies the entire purpose of a duelserver and thus is not allowed.
4) Executing is allowed if both participants agreed beforehead. However, Admins will not help you if you are mistaken for a randomer, since executions are forbidden in standard duels.
5) Granting the time for your opponent to bandage is not required from you. If you want to shed blood, so be it! However, many People will not enjoy being slewn after bowing their head before you.Those people might hold a grudge against you and won´t continue to duel you in the future.

WTF, I just got randomed on the Server, what is going on?
My friend, I have sad news for you. As you might or might not know, most people, who are playing online games, are not able to read properly or to make up their mind what certain things mean. Either you simply disconnect and look for one of the many other splendid duelservers or you enjoy the massacre and wait for an Admin to show up. I really want you to understand, that we cannot observe the server 24/7.
