ABOUT Fantasy: Ignus Regnum

A Fantasy Roleplaying Game...

Year: 453 I.E.

Description

Set in a high-fantasy universe, Ignus Regnum is to be my first launched fantasy role-playing game, although I have created forum games in the past this will be my first of such on Steam.

Players will sign up as ducal states, creating their own histories, banners, names, and making their duchies uniquely their own. All of these factions will compete for supremacy over the world in which the game takes place, Laurentia[i.imgur.com]. Together, the ducal states form the Holy Laurentine Empire that controls most of the central valley. This rich and plentiful land will undoubtedly see a clash of cultures and bloody conflicts in these coming years as the fight to claim the imperial throne begins.

Korot City News (Issue #2)
Recent Happenings

  • Fighting between Ghost forces has transitioned from the gates to the market district.

  • Orc tribes have begun fighting against Goblin tribes for control over an ancient armory building.

  • Dark Walker sightings have decreased by nearly 50% in the past two weeks.

  • Black Plumes have risen in local water sources.

Tips from the Authors

  • Avoid drinking water that has specks of black, ink-like liquid in it. These are known as Black Plumes, and are highly poisonous. Victims sometimes mutate into Dark Walkers.

  • DO NOT approach Dark Walkers if you encounter one. They are often in a dazed state when left alone, but will become hostile if one strays too close! According to our studies, there is no readily available weapon that can harm them, as only extremely powerful light-based enchantments seem to have an effect.

  • Ghost soldiers in Korot care more about attacking each other than you. They are however, not caring about where their weapons swing. Avoid battlegrounds unless you want to lose a limb through an accidental swing of a sword.

  • Do not make the mistake of thinking underground travel through the derelict waterways is safer than the roads. Kobolds live down there, and they excel at hunting in the dark.

  • Avoid narrow alleyways and piles of leaves, as these are often where Goblins set their traps. Also watch your pockets, as some of them are rather skillful pickpockets, as this author has learned!
