Feldränge: (Enlisted ranks): Rekrut (Rek.): A Rekrut is a new member of the unit who don´t have passed basic training, yet. Soldat (Sdt.): A Soldat is a usual soldier who serves in a squad after passing basic training: Obersoldat (OSdt.): A Obersoldat is a soldier who served well and deserves a higher rank to respect him for his actions in battle. Gefreiter (Gef.): A Gefreiter is a very reliable soldier and usual the rank that most of the usual soldiers will gain. Obergefreiter (OGef.): A Obergefreiter is either a very reliable soldier or has a special tasks or a soldier who wants to gain leading positions. He can be placed as second in command of a squad. Stabsgefreiter (SGef.): A Stabsgefreiter is usual a soldier on his way to the NCO-Ranks or a soldier temporarily acting as second in command of a squad. Usual a Stabsgefreiter is placed as third in command of a platoon or assigned for special tasks in the Company, Platoon or Squad. Unteroffiziersränge: (NCO ranks) Unteroffizier (UOff.): A Unteroffizier is usual placed as squad leader. Soldiers which come in questions for an officer or higher NCO rank usual skip this rank. Unterfeldwebel (UFw.): A Unterfeldwebel can be placed as a squad leader. They can also be placed as second in command of a platoon. Usually this rank is the last step to the rank of Feldwebel. Feldwebel (Fw.): A Feldwebel is usually placed as second in command of a platoon and organising it. NCOs which want to become officers also gain this rank. Oberfeldwebel (OFw.): A Oberfeldwebel is placed as second in command of a platoon or temporarily as first in command of a platoon or as 3rd in command of a company. This rank will be also gained by officer candidates. Stabsfeldwebel (SFw.) A Stabsfeldwebel is usual helping with recruit training and other training for the squads and placed as 3rd in command of a company. He can also be assigned for special tasks or administrative tasks. He can also be placed to lead a specialised squad and temporarily help out with commanding a Platoon. Offiziersränge: (Officer ranks) Leutnant (Lt.): A Leutnant is usually placed as Platoon Commander or leads a very specialised squad. He can also be placed as second in command of a company. Oberleutnant (OLt.) A Oberleutnant is usually placed as 2nd in command of a company or commands a platoon. Hauptmann (Hpt.) A Hauptmann is usually the commander of a company.
