ABOUT Emma Watson <3

Emma Watson was born on April 15, 1990, in Paris, as her parents were working there at the time. After her parents separated, she moved with her mother and brother to England, where she grew up. From an early age, she showed a strong interest in acting, language, and literature. She attended a theatre school and took part in numerous school performances, through which her talent and discipline became evident early on.

In 2001, at the age of just ten, Emma Watson achieved her international breakthrough with the role of Hermione Granger in the film adaptation of the Harry Potter book series. Although she had no prior professional acting experience, she impressed audiences with her natural performance. Over a period of ten years, she played this role in eight films, becoming one of the central characters of the series. The films made her world-famous and one of the most successful actresses of her generation.

Despite her early success, Emma Watson placed great importance on her education. She first studied at Worcester College in Oxford and later transferred to Brown University in the United States. There, she successfully completed her degree in English Literature in 2014. This decision was widely praised, as it showed that she did not place fame above her personal development.

After the end of the Harry Potter series, Watson consciously chose a diverse career path in order to break away from her image as a child star. She took on roles in films such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, Noah, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Women. In doing so, she demonstrated her ability to portray complex and mature characters convincingly.

In addition to her acting career, Emma Watson is strongly committed to social justice and women’s rights. In 2014, she was appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. She gained international attention through her well-known HeForShe speech, in which she called on men to actively support gender equality. Today, Emma Watson is regarded not only as a successful actress, but also as an educated, thoughtful personality and a role model for social engagement.
