Digital Muse Servers Zombie Mod

The goal of this mod is to use components of L4D and HL2 to create a multiplayer zombie vs humans rpg with a persistent world map. We will start off by creating some experimental builds of the mod that will test out some of our ideas and work our way into releasing a proof of concept alpha using as many stock animations and models as we can to minimize the need for contributions on the art side of the project. Right now our long term goal in forming this group is the Proof-Of-Concept Alpha build of the mod. Until that is complete we aren't even contemplating the beta or alpha builds.


This group is for people considering being a part of the DMS Zombie Mod Team. If you're not sure whether you're going to participate or how much you'll be able to, that's OK- we're just trying to get things sorted out right now and see where we are going to take this. Those who stay on board as coders will probably be spending time trying to work with the networking code to get it to allow the kind of persistent map we desire. Those who stay on as artists will probably be working mostly on converting or animating pre-existing models, modifying textures, and minor user interface artwork. Level designers will work on mapping. Everyone will be expected to contribute to the overall design of the game, but if you only have time to contribute to design, that's OK too-- if you're invited to the group then we value your opinion and want your help in any capacity you can afford to give it.
