Corona Cup

The Corona Cup is a small tournament for South African TF2 players. The tournament will be played in the 6v6 format. Teams of all skill levels are welcome, and there is no entry fee. ETF2L rules will be used for whitelists and so on.

Dates:

3 April: All teams must confirm their rosters by 11PM, we will then release fixtures.
5 April: Tournament begins, the exact time of the day that the matches take place are up to the teams to decide.
12 April: The top 2 teams from the round robbins stage play in a BO3 final.

All games are set to start everyday at 18:30, every round you will play 2 maps. If your team can not make the fixture at this time please contact Derado or Chrome and the other team captain to make a plan regarding when your fixture will be played.

Round Robbins map picking process

Each team starts with 2 map bans, followed by each team picking a map from the maps remaining in the pool.

Points system

Winning a map is worth 2 points, drawing is worth 1 point, losing is worth 0 points.

Not more than half of your team can be subs, and if your team can't make the match, your team will forfeit the match, more than 2 forfeits and your team will be removed from the tournament

PLAYOFFS INFORMATION

The Quarter and Semi finals will be played in a Best of 3 format. The map veto system for these BO3s will be as follows: 2 map bans for each team, 1 map pick for each team, 1 more ban for each team, last map of the series is randomly selected from the remaining 2 maps in the pool.

On each of the Quarter and Semi Final days, the given starting times are 3PM for the first series and 6PM for the second series. We would like to play these series at different times for streaming purposes, but please message Derado/Chrome and the other team's captain if your team has a problem with these times.
