About Ancient Ark

Ancient Ark is a PvE server hosted in a game called Ark: Survival Evolved. We aim to create environment that is very friendly for the player. We have zero tolerance towards flaming, griefing and other bad behaviour.

Technical and administrative wise, we wish to offer our players a solid and secure server with low latency. Also, our 30 slotted server offers a perfect opportunity for those who wish to see more untouched lands and claim more territory to themselves.

But, what makes us a bit different from the rest?

It is our settings. We aim create more primitive and challenging experience for our players. We have increased difficulty, removed modern weaponry from engrams, harder hitting dinos, shorter night and reduced exp gain.

We will continue to improve our settings to make the game more enjoyable, challenging and fun compared to default settings. We are not stuckups, we are open for feedback and will always continue to adjust settings for better gameplay. :)

Looking for Game Masters!

Hello!

I've decided to look for some help amongst you all. I can't manage everything on my own, so I need Game Masters to help me handle things in-game. I'll continue to manage the Server with somewhat little less in-game presence (Admin wise), I would still play though. :)

What do I expect from a GM?

***Upholds the Rules***

This may involve banning, kicking or warning people if they do something wrong. Such could be griefing, insulting, using modern weapons excessively, other toxic behaviour or exploiting/hacking.

***Middlehand***

You must be ready to inform players if there were to be issues or updates regarding the Server.

***Events***

While this is not a must, you may hold events for players and I'm strongly encouraging to do so. :)

Is there any benefits for being GM?

Hardly? :) No paychecks though, haha. I think it can be rewarding to help people, also arranging events can be fun. :)

Things I don't wish from anyone who wants to apply:

- Fool around with Admin Commands. Go to Singleplayer if you must.
- Using Admin Commands for your own benefit
- Anything that is considered as self-evident that GM shouldn't do

I know there isn't properly written rules anywhere. We're sort of anarchist that way. But, if you follw your gut, its easy to know what's wrong and what is not. :)

We have released our first Player Town!

As the title suggests, we have released our first Player Town. It's called "Ancient Town", what a big surprise? :)

Remember! Today at 9PM (GMT+2) will start our weekend event: +20% faster taming speed, making it total of (150%, 100% being normal).

Addition to last message: I told AJAX to check this group for any problems with the server as he also can restart it.

I'm going away for 1 day and returning tomorrow. If there's any problems with the server, like not being able to enter due to updates, please write in this group section or try to reach me in steam. I'll restart it then.
