Exciting Innovation in Orbital Education

Cosmic Academy was the most ambitious project of Starlight Aerospace Enterprises, a giant orbital campus nearly a hundred km above sea level, where those who seek answers, training, or even just asylum, would be able to network in the safety of the exosphere.

Life was simple, and everyone was happy. The first few years of operation went off without a hitch. It was all according to plans, until Starlight went bankrupt and was bought up by a defense contractor to build orbital weaponry.

Cosmic Academy was abandoned and left to rot in orbit, forgotten as the last of their engineers built ion cannons instead of keeping the building running. Cosmic Academy was a derelict, dark and uninhabited, just a massive piece of space junk waiting for deorbiting.

Until today.

The lights of the station flicker on again, shapes move around within the hallways, and Cape Canaveral recieves a radio transmission from a craft once thought to be derelict:

"WE. ARE. OPEN. FOR. BUSINESS... BYOC."
