RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Fortitude 3.0
  • Steam is now mandatory for all members
  • Mumble[mumble.sourceforge.net] and a working microphone are now mandatory for all new members and strongly recommended for existing members
  • Skype[www.skype.com], which was already implicitly required, is hereby now explicitly required for all members
  • As we are still primarily a racing/drifting team, a steering wheel is hereby now also explicitly required for all members that participate in any kind of simulated driving on a regular basis. A steering wheel with at least 720° lock to lock rotation is highly recommended, as well as an H-Gate shifter and 3 pedals.

Steam
All members must join the Fortitude Steam Group and therefore require an active Steam user account.
Steam will also serve as our primary planning platform. It provides the means to organise events in one central location (our group's event calendar) and also pushes notifications to all members of the group when events are scheduled or announcements are posted. For this reason it is strongly recommended that you start Steam with your operating system (i.e. "Run Steam when my computer starts"), though this is not a requirement. Running it when participating in a session in progress, however, is required.
Adding everyone in the group as friend is recommended.

Mumble
Address: voip.teamfortitude.net
Port: 64738 (this is the default Mumble port)

Skype
Skype still is and likely will remain our primary mode of communication. All members must join the Fortitude Skype Group Conversation and are advised to add everyone in it to their contacts.

Help! I don't meet one/some of those requirements!
Don't worry, we're not going to kick existing members over newly established rules. That said, everyone should do their best to catch up to the rest and acquire whatever gear, software, etc. is needed to meet the criteria listed above.
