Welcome to the 13th Oriente Hussars!

Who are we?

We're a casual, laid-back group of gamers, focused on chilling out, shooting the breeze with friends whilst doing our best to carry the day. Lead by Colonel Joshua McEvedy and Major Tristan "The Disgruntled".

The 13th specifically welcomes players who like the coordination of an organized group but cannot guarantee the time required of more demanding, regimented clans or outfits. The Hussars offer casual players a home where they can enjoy other's camaraderie without feeling any pressure to play at a certain level or for a certain amount of time. Hussars generally fight when they want and when they can--no questions asked!

We communicate primarily via our TeamSpeak server linked to the site, with A Discord server acting as a backup and potential replacement in future. Both of these can be found below (pending)

We mostly operate in the North American time zones, but we are seeking to expand our European player-base so I (The Disgruntled) don't have to stay up till 3 am. New players are always welcome.

We originate in Mechwarrior Online, where many of us met. Though we now seek to expand to other games. Specifically into Arma 3. Anyone who wishes to join us in MechWarrior should apply on the website, linked below in the "Recruitment" section.

Recruitment

Anyone who wants to join feel free to join the group and introduce yourself, and fill out an application on our website. The website is primarily based around Mechwarrior, but joining helps us keep track of members.

IMPORTANT Command structure overhall

As discussed last night I am beginning the process of reforming our command structure in preparation for opening our recruitment up in Arma 3 and other games.

Currently, we require
1 Lieutenant
2 Sergeant
2 Corporals

If you would like to volunteer for any of these roles or recommend and of your fellows for them then please post below or send me a message, after approximately 4 - 5 days I will directly approach anyone who has been recommended for any as yet unfilled billets before opening up Arma 3 recruitment towards the end or the week.

Gentlemen, with MWO seemingly in decline now, and after some member discussion, we have decided to also start playing Arma 3, which is a great modern combat simulation game that is currently on sale through Steam until tomorrow. If you want to join us, then be sure to get the Arma 3 base game (for $13), and the DCL 1 and Apex add-ons, altogether for $32. We're getting a 13OH unit set up in game, and look forward to giving it a go this weekend.
