Minigolf VR now open sourced

Hey folks!

As most of you have probably figured out, development on this game has ceased. Due to poor sales. the multiplayer servers have been shut down and no further development has been done in quite a while.

This announcement should have been made earlier, and I sincerely apologise for that.

So what happens now?

First off, I'm reducing the price of the game to 99c, as Steam won't let me make it free. If you've purchased it recently, definitely go for the refund.

Secondly, I've now open-sourced the project files, so that anyone can build and play the game if they have the right tools and assets. The files can be found here: https://github.com/Zaeran/MinigolfVR

And that's about it.
Thanks to everyone who bought the game, and I hope one day I will get to develop something even better for you all :)

Local Multiplayer Revamp!

Hey folks,

First off, it turns out local multiplayer has been broken for the last week or so. When I launched the Oculus update, I accidentally left in half-finished code for the local multiplayer revamp, so it broke it for a while.

Anyway, on to the good news! Local multiplayer is now fixed, and is much more versatile. Also, this update enables local multiplayer on the Oculus Rift version of the game.

When playing with more than one player, you'll find the added 'swap player' option in the main menu, as seen here:

Hitting this will swap to the next player, saving all progress that the current player has made. This means that you can choose to swap players after each hole, after each course, or at completely random times, and have it all work smoothly.

Oculus Rift Single Player now live!

Hey folks,

Those of you with the Oculus Rift CV1 can now play MinigolfVR using your Xbox Controllers! Both the Vive and Rift modes are contained within the same build, so your HMD will auto-detect and input will be set accordingly.

At this stage, only single player is supported for the rift, as there's quite a bit that needs to be fixed in the multiplayer before it's ready to go. In the meantime, feel free to play as much as possible, and give lots of feedback so I can make the RIft version even better!

Horrible game trailer

What's up with the game trailer? It's a bunch of guys messing around and not really showcasing the game. Pretty unprofessional imo. I can see Valve hitting forehead with palm saying "doh".

starting problems

i just purchased but i do have a little problem when im starting the game Steam VR says (does not react) Minigolf VR but when im putting up my vr brill i only see the earth boll wich i gues is standard when something is not working does someone know how to fix it and could share it with me woud love to try this game thanks in advance!!!...

Minor thing; edges and aliasing

I can see the section or modular parts that the golf course has been made from. (Or so I think it's made.) What I see are perpendicular lines flickering. if I get closer it seem to look like a small space between the polygon faces. Perhaps a little overlap could remove the artifact....
