An enjoyable and highly replayable base-defender arcade game, combining wonderful vector-style visuals from the likes of Asteroids and Tempest, with the gameplay concept of Missile Command. Unlike Missile Command, you have a singular base/city to defend, and also an auto-firing railgun to help out. The twist is that your city can be upgraded over time depending on how well you perform after surviving each day, allowing you to improve the city's shield, railgun, missiles, and more.

The combination of quasi-random upgrade choices and procedurally generated waves of enemies means that no two runs are ever quite the same. Furthermore, at the time of this writing, there are three upgrade "paths" that you can choose to specialise in. The combination of these two points is where the replayablilty of the game really shines. Do you invest in the ultra defensive Hermit path, which can hurl bolts of lighting at the alien invaders and potentially recharge a failed shield dome in a few seconds? Or do you go ham with the Berserker path, forgoing the shield entirely for MORE Missiles and a powerful rapid-fire shotgun? Maybe the balanced "Main" path is more your vibe today? And do you chance a re-roll in the hopes of getting that one upgrade you really need right now?

This is an arcade game through-and-through, which means the attacking enemy waves will get more difficult the longer you survive, eventually to the point where they will completely overwhelm you. Utopia MUST Fall, after all. Although a Game Over is inevitable, the real question is: how long can you survive? And will you keep chasing an ever-larger High Score?

There is plenty to like here, with more to come in the future with additional updates on the horizon. Well worth the price of entry.
