i just installed the game but i can't run it anyone can help?

Just wanted to brag here that I finally did the 7th map and China won and I am the best and then I saw that there are two more campaigns. I *really* hope they are not like the 7th map of the China campaign. It took me weeks to gather enough resolve to try it again after each failure. Now, I only did it as save scummer :-( As long as I had few credits and played a while... -> SAVE Whenever the scud storm started ... Seems like this game is the biggest cult classic favorite for a lot of people, aside from maybe Red Alert 2. I'm just wondering what the appeal is since I've yet to really dig in and first impressions are kind of underwhelming. It's not just nostalgia, is it? What does Generals/Zero Hour offer that the other C&C games don't?...
