I'll try to be as objective as possible because, unfortunately, I'm not enjoying the game at all.
I recently finished another RPG for the same price, and I'm sorry to say this, but this one is significantly lower. To make sure it wasn't just my impression, I also looked at the other negative reviews to see if my thoughts were in line with those of the disappointed players.
The name "Digimon" alone isn't enough to make anything in this franchise great.
- The story is truly unengaging, and the side quests become "primary" quests because without them, you can't do Mega Evolutions (but by the time you can do them, you'll have already finished the game and are therefore completely useless).
- Digifarm is completely illogical; whether it's there or not has no bearing on anything.
- The card game...avoid it. The most boring I've ever seen in all the RPGs I've ever played.
- If you stand still with your character, Digimon are healed or revived, rendering consumable items useless.
- To sell their DLC, you'll find random links while talking to NPCs that open Steam pages.
- The main character doesn't have voice acting (oh yeah, he just moves his lips without a single word coming out, and there aren't even subtitles).
- The maps are long corridors set in an unpleasant setting; it takes away the desire to explore. You'll spend your time pressing E to remove rubble.
- Animations: If you're nostalgic for the '90s, here you can see Digimon with melee attacks, standing still, kicking the air, and watching that damage magically land on the boss!

If you really want to buy it because you're a fan or just curious... well, get it on sale.

Great progression throughout the game, battles are fun and the leveling system feels rewarding. 100% recommend
