The game has many strong suits like many of the weapons feeling quite good to use and the atmosphere of many areas is fantastic. The music is decent too.

But I just find the gameplay loop tedious. The level design is fairly maze like with no map to guide you at all which I am fine with but the combat gets stale fast, there is no story or any hint of where to go and the combat doesn't feel challenge at all especially once you get the crossbow its more like a chore to fight anything, really.

After a bunch of hours I just wondered why the ♥♥♥♥ I was playing this because there was just nothing to strive for as I went through the 5th maze of halls and enemies this time grave flavoured with flying paintings.

Felt good in the beginning. The atmosphere is really cool. Early locations were interestingly connected with each other, with some unexpected shortcuts. Level design felt something like dark souls 1 in it's best, but in the mid/late game there where no interconnections like that. Also i am tired of hugging every wall to find a secret door that has no visual hint of it's presence. Final boos is a stupid stat check. Really difficult stat check.

I tried to like it.

Was enjoying the game just for it to randomly corrupt my save after playing for 6 hours. Lost the ability to hit save at one of the crystals, upon reloading the game my save file is no longer interactable and the file itself is empty.
