The end of November is here, and with it, our Monthly Dev Update!

A lot of our work was focussed on polishing and expanding the systems we introduced last month. Buuuut that's not all! We've also got some exciting new things to share!!!

We're covering a complete restyle of the Character Creator, the new Leadership Structures for the Factions, progress on our first Omniform, and, as always, our ongoing Balancing and Hotfixes.

Let's get right into it!

We're giving the Character Creator a complete visual overhaul to give it more personality and tie it directly into the lore.

Your journey will now begin where it's supposed to: Inside the Chasha. The entire creation process is now themed around you getting your official mugshot taken. It immediately grounds you in the world and sets the stage for your story!

Work continues on the Omniforms, and this month we've been focusing on the implementation of the Atker.

Since this will be the first type of Omniform you'll encounter in the upcoming update, we wanted to give it a unique and recognizable appearance. This design is crucial, as it will serve as the foundation for the other variants that will be added in the future.

We polished the animations, behaviors, and visual effects to make them feel truly... otherworldly. We're keeping many of the details under wraps for now, but we can't wait for you to see them in action!

This new threat hasn't gone unnoticed. To properly organize a defence plan, the factions realized they needed to elect new leaders to act as a clear speaking voice for their entire population.

This has led to new forms of government:

• The Raboch faction is establishing a 3-member council. They will need to reach a consensus to guide their people.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

• The Mozga are adopting a 2-leader system: a Military Leader to handle defence and a Scientist Leader to research the new threat.

With this new leadership in place, one of their first major projects is organizing defenses. You'll be able to help them by constructing special devices designed to keep the Omniforms at bay.

As always, we're committed to keeping the game stable and balanced.

• Hotfixes: We're continuing to roll out patches to smash any game-breaking bugs you find. A huge thank you for all the reports!

• Rebalancing: We're costantly working on on game balance, including:

  • Adjusting fines and reputation loss from crimes.

  • Tweaking affection and rewards from personal NPC quests.

  • Expanding the buildable and cultivable areas within the Forest Houses.

  • ...and much more!

We're incredibly excited about how these new systems are coming together and can't wait for you to experience them.
