Manhunt with Mary

Please add more interactions when using Mary in manhunt so she can do the same things tormentor can do. It's so boring playing as her in sandbox manhunt.

Problems with this game:

1. You don't feel that you are empowered, the main character has very little to do, you feel you are a pity and pathetic employee, constantly getting told off and disrespected by the voice in the radio/broad cast, keeps telling you that you are useless and your life is someone's mercy.
2. In this torturing game, the torturing is very boring. The actual game has no nudity, not as shown in previous trailer. and the victims have very poor quality and detail, feels like you are torturing some plastic toy from the dollar store.
3. No sense of progression, your work doesn't add anything to the game, just make more money and buy a few more tools, you can unlock and build or upgrade your base or anything, one unlock some different themes of the location. You are not motivated to keep playing because there is nothing left to do. You can't design and modify or upgrade your base.
4. You have no control of the sessions, even if you choose to continue, the session just ends abruptly with a video the victim is killed shortly after they confess.

contradictory statement by the dev concerning their production history.

so, in their "regarding sexual content in tormentor" post, how is it you claim an issue with being disturbed by the juxtaposition of sex and extreme violence when in succubus that was a frequent thing she would do, just ripping off peoples pork swords and optional porn scenes. in nymphomaniac you play as serial killing prostitute if you so choose. what changed? no one is here for backtracking....

Positives"
The idea behind Tormentor is fantastic. there aren't many games that let you play as the bad guy/villain not an anti-hero, not a misunderstood character but someone truly evil, diabolical, and cruel simply for the sake of it. The concept alone is bold, uncomfortable, and refreshing in a market flooded with safe narratives. The Torture mechanic, on paper, is also interesting, and the overall tone shows an ambition to explore darker psychological territory rather than moral hand holding

Negatives:
Unfortunately, the game focuses fat too much on telling a story instead of letting the gameplay speak for itself. The mechanics are shallow there are only a handful of ways to kill victims, and many of them feel repetitive or outright ridiculous rather then brutal. The torture system suffers the same issue interesting idea, but extremely limited in execution. There simply aren't enough methods to justify the mechanic existing beyond novelty.
Worse, the game rarely makes you feel like the true bad guy. Most of your victims are criminals, which softens the experience and removes the internal conflict that a game like this needs to provoke. On top of that, your action's are heavily framed as being guided or controlled by a larger organization entity, which farther strips away personal agency. You're not choosing evil you're fallowing orders.

When a game puts you in the role of a psychopath, it should make you pause and think, "Do i really want to do this?" That moment of discomfort, of moral hesitation, is essential for immersion. When you can consistently provoke that reaction in the player, you're doing it right Tormentor never reaches that point.

From a technical standpoint, the game is unpolished. Navigation and AI are low-tier, immersion is frequently broken, and characters can continue speaking even after they're already dead. This could have been mitigated by better pacing or making key characters harder to reach before their dialogue finishes, but instead it feels unfinished.

((Final thoughts:))
Tormentor had real potential, but it feels like a novice project still learning as it goes. A major issue is the heavy reuse of assets and recurring themes, which makes the game feel less like a distinct experience and more like a rough iteration of ideas seen before. instead of refining what works and building depth, the repetition creates the sense that the game was assembled quickly rather then carefully crafted.
This reuse, combined with shallow mechanics and lack of polish, weakens what could have been a genuinely unsettling experience. Each game should feel deliberate and complete in tis own right, not like a test bed for ideas that never fully mature.

At 29.99 this is not worth the price. i appreciate the ambition and desire for darker, more unconventional games but ambition alone doesn't carry a product without solid execution.
