To perform a backup you need to copy your config.cfg file to a safe place.

1. Go to your Steam installation folder.
   
   The defaut path is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam"
2. Open userdata.
   
   
3. Then open the folder with your SteamID3. (Examble: 32524734)
   
   (There might be a few other folders named with Steam ID there if you are using multiple Steam accounts. If you use one account only, there will be only one folder. You can find the ID for your main account HERE[steamid.io]. The name of the folder you are searching is "steamID3".)
4. Open the 730 folder.
   
   
5. Now copy the config.cfg file where you want to back it up.
   
   
6. Done.

When you're on the map there is the main big screen with configs.
There you can find two buttons titled:

• RESTORE config from START OF CURRENT SESSION

and

• RESTORE config from FIRST TIME USE OF THIS MAP

It depends on the commands you have in your autoexec.cfg file.
Some commands may overwrite the changes you applied on the map. That's why we recommend to delete or rename the autoexec.cfg file so it doesn't get executed.

WARNING: ONLY FOR SINGLE CORE (low-end) CPUs!

The error happens due to a setting that determines the threading mode.
If you have a multi-core CPU you will get a fps boost. However if your CPU is on the low-end side then your fps may even get worse.

To fix this issue open the console and write:

• mat_queue_mode "-1"

We use that setting on the "Recommended"-Screen for the options "FPS BOOST" and "Video"..

To fix this issue open the console and write:

• cl_disablehtmlmotd "0"

We change that setting to "1" because it increases the FPS on some computers.
The issue occurs when some servers force you to have this value at "0" because they want you to watch their ads.

To fix this error you need to delete the "dont_delete_confgen.cfg" file.

3. Now go to steamapps > common > Counter-Strike Global Offensive > csgo > cfg.

Please check if your config.cfg isn't set on read-only. Then check if you aren't launching any autoexec file. (Also check your launching parameters)
