There are games like that out there already.

Medieval Dynasty is one such game. It's a different custom area, but it builds on the time of medieval peasantry. Forage, fight, farm, craft, cook, build, expand, make friends, etc.

yes ,i'd love that. I love the world of KCD2 but dont care for the main story or characters.

This is exactly what I would want from a future spin off game. A roguelike where you survive as a random citizen and win when you complete a certain goal, like being a grocer and needing to make a certain amount of coin. Might sound tedious but that's most of KCD gameplay for me, doing immersive quests to learn about medieval life and imagining a story for your character. When I ended my last play through I got a face mod for the sake of distancing the character from Henry who I felt needed a break
