It is Fiendsmith, which is strong by itself. However, that's not exactly the reason for the tech choice. In addition to Duke becoming an oddly okay option when current extenders aren't enough and the new addition of the Zombies into Quants, I was mostly just trying to think of what could generate a 'free' link two monster as Neo Magnus only requires a minimum of one Super Quant monster
So far the experience is Lacrima just being a handy level four... and Neo Magnus being too greedy of a play. When it does come together, however, the vision is realized; Quants no longer end on a boss, empty hand, and a dream. Once in a while there's a cheeky play of using Formation to attach one of the Fiendsmith fusions to Magnus so when detached they're activating their graveyard effects. The additional bodies make for great insulation to either grind them as materials or prioritize Quant effects without having to keep track of Magnus's effects
The new support has further streamlined the game plan and can now consistently go into Magnus without too much issue if you're paying attention and not falling asleep at the wheel
Ratios are NOT optimized as I am finding Zeta to be an excellent extender in a deck that needs to go big or go home
