macy's gingerbread cookies

ingredients:
3 ¼ cup flour
1 tbsp. cinammon
1 tbsp. ginger
¾ tsp. baking soda
¾ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup room temp. unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar (packed!)
1 large egg
½ cup unsulfuredd molasses
1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract

directions:
whisk flour, cinammon, ginger, baking soda, cloves,
salt, and nutmeg in a big bowl.
beat together butter and sugar in separate bowl (abt.
2 mins w/ electric mixer); add in egg, molasses, &
vanilla and beat until combined
addd flour mixture slowly & beat on low until
combined
divide dough into two equal portions and form them
into balls. flatten the balls until they are 1 in. thick in a
disk shape, wrap in plastic, and chill for two hours/
the whole night.
