A 'Wug' is a fictional blue, flightless bird designed by Jean Berko Gleason in 1958, for the purpose of studying childrens' plural acquisition skills with the question "This is a Wug. Now there are two of them. There are two ___?"

Clearly, the answer in this example is "Wugs", but in linguistics communities it's often joked that it's actually much more complex, with many alternative plural terms floating around (such as "wuggen" or "wüge")

$150 fine for stealing the nickname wugular though. (/s)
