Left 4 Dead 2 is an amazing game with mass amounts of replayability. In terms of quality, I would say that this beats the original Left 4 Dead in all levels. I think what makes you come back to it is the workshop. It can bring so many new elements into the game, breathe new life into it. It offers custom campaigns, weapon skins, survivor models, or hell, even the music if you want to for some reason. Other than the workshop, this still offers more. Every weapon has an alternate stronger version from the original game, so that only 6 weapons at your disposal won't get boring. It also offers longer and more innovative campaigns. I say innovative because all missions in the original game was just waiting for a rescue chopper/boat. Now, you have to gather items scattered around the map as an incentive for the players to work together and be involved and not just camp in one place. There are new special infected too (With the Spitter remedying the first game's camping issue), which may get annoying, but so the game won't be a joke to beat. There are also new modes. Instead of the usual Co-op Campaign, Survivor vs. Infected, Survival, or Solo (w/ bot teammates), there is a new one called Scavenge, which can act as the "Competitive" of this game. Overall, MASSIVE improvement over the first game.
