This game is simple, charming, and fun. I really enjoy the relaxing nature of the gameplay. It reminds me of the Katamari games - but instead of rolling a ball, trying to increase the size by running into things, you control a hole that increases in size with each successful item "consumed". The art style is pleasant, and definitely adds to the laid back feel of the game.

With that being said, there is not much game here. I completed the game in 2 hours, and went back to achievement hunt for another 30 minutes. I was left wanting more. I have to say, the last level felt like the right length, with various sections that built to a boss fight. If the devs followed this formula for every level, this would be an instant winner. However, every other level is very short. I don't mind short games, but for the price, it didn't feel like I got my money's worth - and I bought it on sale!

Overall, I would still recommend the game. I hope if there's enough interest, we'll see an expanded sequel one day. Buy this, but only when it's on sale!

A very relaxing game, that is being updated reguarly to add even more content. A real labour of love by the developer.

Check out my impressions here.

This game reminded me of the good old days of hockey games, by which I mean THE FIGHTS! I remember playing hockey games on the Sega Mega-Drive, and most of the fun to be had in those games was derived from trying to start a fight in the game. It was a novelty, but a lot of fun. So much fun, in fact, that there was a Monster Hockey League game that tried to amp up the violence a bit. Super Blood Hockey is a fun tribute to those old hockey games, with a dash of extra violence. No need to wait around for a fight, they happen quite a lot. Even the ref can get knocked over in the mayhem! My only gripe with the game is that the speed of the characters feels sluggish, and almost tank-like in their turning for some. Luckily, you can unlock a feature to adjust the characters weight, essentially giving them all a speed boost. I feel like it should be faster off the bat, but still, this is a great nod to those old hockey games, and has a fantastic, frantic arcade feel to it. Highly recommended, especially with friends!

This wasn't so much a game as it was an interactive story. In fact, as the description says, it's a puzzle that you piece together at your own pace. It's still a very strange game with a spooky atmosphere.

It's interesting that the game feels like a survival horror, yet there's nothing otherworldly to fear. You really can play at your own pace - but it recreates what it would be like to be in a large house, at night, in a storm - it's the addition of being alone, and having no immediate explanation as to where everyone is that creates suspense. It definitely drops little elements of horror in the game, and leaves your mind to fill in the blanks - all while getting a bit creeped out by the thunder outside or the creaking noises the house emits.

I think the ending will leave people feeling a bit disappointed, or expecting a twist. The twist is that there is no twist. I was pleasantly surprised and had a chuckle at myself for succumbing to the tense atmosphere. I love that the game is set in the early-to-mid '90s as it gives it a bit more character. It feature some Riot Grrrl bands which are a fun addition - especially because '90s Alternative Rock and Grunge are mainstay genres on my playlist.

The story was slow paced. It was quite nice to see/hear it unfold. If it was told in a different format (such as a film) it might not work, or feel padded out. Adding the story in to a mystery/exploration certainly worked, however.

A few gripes I have are the price and the graphics. The price should be about a third of what they're asking for (£14.99 as of 09/06/14), in my opinion. It's a short game - taking me about 4 hours to complete, and I don't think that justifies the asking price. Combined with the graphics, which aren't spectacular - yet they still manage to slow my system down even on the lowest settings. The game was still immersive without high end graphics, again, I just wish they weren't so intense for my system to handle... it's not like I was running Crysis 3!
