A good sequel takes what came before and innovates the base formula so it's not simply "more of the same", and that's exactly what the Crash DLC does with the base Supraland game. The setting is familiar, but off in a way that puts you ill-at-ease. Most of the tools you have operate the same as before, but a few key differences or omissions mean map traversal and puzzles that would be easy in the base game require an entirely different mindset, meaning that everything about the way you play the game must be re-learned. Even combat, perhaps the most controversial part of the base game, has been innovated in such a way that most combat is, in and of itself, a puzzle, which I greatly admire.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the charm of the original is still very much present, and the story is progressed in an impactful way that leaves you questioning where you, the main character, and all of the friends they've made along the way stand within the greater meta narrative.

Overall, Supraland Crash is a stellar re-imagining of the base formula that managed to immediately pull me right back in the thick of it and keep hold long afterwards to finish up that oh so coveted completion. Love this game and will absolutely be following Supra Games as they continue onward!

Easily one of the most charming and satisfying puzzle games I've played in years. It feels a little slow at the very beginning, but after the first few upgrades, things very quickly pick up. The upgrades become surprisingly powerful and yet the puzzles are still engaging and challenging. The entire world and the people within it smack of charm. I loved being in this little sandbox every single minute I played, and would absolutely love to see more.
