This is one of those games that once you start it's hard to stop, there is no "I'll just play for 10 minutes".

Medieval II is an amazing game, and one that has withstood the test of time. The Third Age mod is a must have for any LotR fan and makes the game so much more fun to play, however, through the non-steam version i have around 1100hours in the base game/expansions.

Probably not for the more casual gamers since campaigns take many hours to complete but do not be deterred, if you are a strategy fan, then this is a must buy.

One of my all time favourites. It does an excellent job at what it tries to do, especially for an 8+ yr old game. Playing with friends increases the replayability tenfold.

This is more of a LAN or group of friends doing stupid s*** game than a serious one which is made more awesome by being in the starwars universe. If you are only looking for a 'competitive' game as such, probably not the game for you, go grab CoD or BF4 or something. (Not sure why you would look here anyway :P )

There are, as is always the case with really old games, several bugs which may or may not affect you from starting/playing the game. Many people have complained about it not being compatible with Windows 7 and certain popular sound drivers like realtek but I have both and it worked first go. There are multiple posts around the net about certain fixes you can try but you can still be unlucky enough to be one of the odd cases. This game does go on sale almost every seasonal sale steam has so if you are worried, wait till then. Usually discounted to 5 bucks or so which is worth it if you can get a group of friends to play.
