An excellent experience and an almost perfect representation on 2014 5e Dungeons and Dragons. I would recommend this game to anyone. If you love RPGs and DND, you will enjoy in this game.

An interesting game. Only about three hours of content, but it is a well executed concept.

There is some leftover content for a sequel. I am curious if there will be one.

As a fan of Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, I was drawn in to this game from the start. All of the quests are well-crafted, and the leveling system is better made than Oblivion's was. The main quest is also well-written, and I enjoyed all of the characters.

The only criticisms I have of the game involve some stability problems and plot elements. I don't know if SureAI is still allocating resources to this game, but I hope they are able to make a Remastered version of this game someday and expand on a few things.

Main quest spoilers
I did say the plot is well-written, but there are some parts that seemed incomplete. It mostly becomes apparent near the end of the game. At then end, your character becomes the Shadow God and goes to a ruin in order to learn more about your purpose. During which, you have some visions and become interrupted by a group that take some powerful weapons from you. You manage to get them back only to get trapped again and for one of the group's members to take one of the weapons again. After some time, a glowing figure comes and frees you. You wind up finding the location in even more ruin with undead running about. You fight some zombies, take back your sword, and the quest ends. There is nothing else main quest wise given after finishing this quest. I didn't read much of the lore within the game's books, but this seems like a lackluster way to finish a game that has so much care given into the level design and world. Wouldn't your character be interested in completing the examination in order to learn more about the Shadow Gods? The journal does say that the whole examination might have been a ruse to bring your character into the location in order to access the weapons you have, but I think they should have continued with the quest after getting the swords back. It is not clear what happened to the group that trapped you to begin with.

I also wish there was a way to save Kim from being killed by Sarantha. Although I do think it fits with the theme of the game. Fate (Sarantha) has a plan and punishes those who deviate from the plan. Narathzul Arantheal attempted to become the Shadow God and loses his love interest and is killed. Near the end, you find the body of a past Shadow God who lost everything in his attempt to break the cycle. Your character winds up losing your mentor, your friends, and your love interest in becoming the Shadow God. Sarantha openly boasts she has taken everything from you before you fight her, but, once you defeat her, Fate no longer has any meaning. I am convinced there is a loophole here that would allow Kim to come back. Maybe the others also.

I should mention that I have not played much of Enderal yet in order to effectively compare the two.+

This was my first Elder Scrolls game, and I have so much nostalgia for it.

I first got it on PS3 back when it first came out, and my first character was an orc warrior. I literally had no idea how to play games like this, and I wound up getting stuck in a cave and afflicted with vampirism.

I decided to make another character, and this time went with a Breton mage. All of my main skills were the schools of magic, and I had a lot of shenanigans with this character. I wound up running away most of the time. I recall doing this one quest for Malacath where you had to free ogres from a cave. I was not able to fight the bandits so I just opened all the cages and ran out. Later on, I was arrested for some reason, probably theft, and stepped outside the Imperial Prison only to be met by all of the bandits waiting for me. A massive battle ensued with some Imperial Legion guards and me fighting against the bandits. It was a mess.

Another quest I did had me acting on behalf of the Mages' Guild and searching an old ruin for an Elven crown. The only issue was that, once I took the crown, a Lich appeared and attacked me. After some failed attempts, I just took the crown and fled. I wound up getting arrested again in the Imperial City, and I stepped out to find the Lich waiting for me. The bodies of the bandits from before were still around as the Legion and me took on the Lich.

I managed to finish the main quest as well as the guild quests with my Breton mage, and the first skill I mastered was, ironically, Blade. I did not feel satisfied by this character's play through, so I decided to make one more, a Nord warrior named Vlaken. He was probably my best character in any Elder Scrolls game. I managed to properly defeat, not only the bandits and the Lich, but also every enemy I came across. These games are easier to play as a combat based class. I even managed to master every one of my major skills including hand to hand.

I have done a partial playthrough on Steam and experimented with mods. They are a game changer, and I am now doing a playthrough of Nehrim: At Fate's Edge, which is a mod based on Oblivion.

I would recommend this game to anyone. I have played some of Morrowind and most of Skyrim, but I think Oblivion is a good middle ground between those two. Morrowind has a learning curve to playing it properly, and Skyrim feels like they took too much out of it and doesn't appeal to me like Oblivion does.

Oblivion has some clunky mechanics and a goofy leveling system, but that is what makes it interesting.

The game is fun, but the frame rate is just awful. I rarely got more than 20 FPS. I decided to refund it until the developers fix the frame rate.
