This game is dining out on its glory days. The game is not FUN. Its TOO DIFFICULT.

Some might say that the difficulty is its charm and that it is SUPPOSED to be difficult. But difficulty through tough enemies and their placement and their move sets is one thing. But difficulty through JANKY movement and ill placed enemies is a different story. I am not saying the game is particularly bad, but it is an old game.

If you are willing to accept that its a game that does not hold up too well, go ahead. But as far as a stand alone game goes, it HAS NOT held up too well, and in my opinion is solely carried by its name alone.

Incredible game. Fast and hard hitting combat, beautiful visuals, beautiful world. Bosses are inconsistent, some can be pushovers and some can take ages, some mini bosses can be more difficult than actual bosses. Game is a bit linear but its not a complaint for me. Story is easy to grasp and wonderfully written, one of the best stories I have experienced in games. The DLC is on my wishlist, cant wait to get back into it

This game is a proof that you can't add a man in white robes and a hidden blade and call it an AC game.

I guess UBi has forgotten what AC games actually were like. The conflict between 2 hidden societies.

This game tries so hard to be like the 'old' AC games, but it fails to understand what made those games so special. Why does Basim care about templars or the assassins? What really motivates him? There is no backstory, no context to our protagonist's actions or motivations. First 2/3 rd's of the game we are just a hired killer going around killing targets. The story doesnt get good until after the last leg of the story. As soon as the story starts getting good, the game just ends.

The voice acting seems artificially generated, with no real emotions. Faces look horrible, which is a surprise as the rest of the game looks really beautiful. But it can be excused given that this game was initially a DLC for Valhalla.

The voice acting and script just goes to a 100 in the last 2-3hrs of the story, which just grips you in.

The gameplay is actually quite good, only bad thing being the parkour, which is the buggiest, most jankiest thing I have had to deal with in quite some time now.

The setting is beautiful, Baghdad ranks as one of the best AC settings for me. Its the one game where I rarely use fast travel. The world is lived in and vibrant and is one of the best playgrounds for parkour, even though the parkour does not actually work.

The game gets a positive review as its a step in the right direction for me. You are back again as a hooded man creeping around using a plethora of tools to take down a dozen enemies, although your intentions to do so are not well explained. Its worth AT LEAST one play through if you are an AC fan.

I have put nearly 100 hours into this game with almost 100% completion, so its safe to say my review has some weight to it.

The game is VERY GOOD. Probably the best assassin's creed game out there. Its so good that the actual AC games fall behind. Thanks to my brother for getting me this one.

The one thing that large open world games lack, is a strong narrative, which this game excel beautifully. It tells a hard hitting story of a desperate man who would drag himself through dirt to save his people. Voice acting is unparalleled.

Combat and level design are the aspects which carries this game through out its 80-100 hours gameplay. Not once did the combat get boring or easy. Its tough at hour 1 and it is just as, if not a little less tough at hour 80. Level design is refreshing after the parade of terrible OWGs seen in the last decade.

Now, the bad stuff. The side activities, again, side ACTIVITIES, are simply bad. There are too many of these very boring side activities in this game, which the game would have been better off without. The worst side activity repeats the most number of times.

DLC, well its there, its just more of Ghost Of Tsushima. Its not Far Cry Blood Dragon, but its by no means a bad dlc. again, its just more of GOT.

And also, the game is pretty, its so damn pretty and the game knows it, as the Photo Mode in the game is probably the best i have ever seen.

The game is great for what it is. It excels at the survival bit of the 'survival horror' genre, but comes up short by a tad bit on the horror side of things.
The story is solid enough to get you through the game, although some chapters can be a bit too long and it does hurt the pacing of the game.
Graphically the game can look gorgeous and horrifying (in a good way).
There are some optimizing issues that the game suffers from, but nothing too major that would hurt your experience.
Player movement can seem a bit stiff at first, but you get used to it very quickly.
One thing that this game excels at, is the psychological horror side of it, which sadly doesn't come into play by the very end of the game.
8/10

This might as well be the best game that I have ever played. The combat though tricky (especially if you take the typical soulslike approach) is the most fleshed out combat system I have ever encountered in any video game. Story is stellar along with the voice acting and dialogues. The world can be very beautiful and very grim at the same time.

Hesitation is defeat 10/10

Definitely lives up to the hype it has generated over the years in the community.

A must play.

Critics gave it a solid 10, players gave it a soft 2. This game at its best is at best a 7.
You are essentially playing 4 maps over and over again, that is the core game play loop, but not once did i think that game got boring because of that. Progression is steady, and the looping nature of the game means that you are progressively getting better than the last time you visited the map.

You get 4 maps and 4 different timelines, so near about 16 different slightly altered maps, with different paths and different enemy placements. Guns have enough variations to keep the gun game play fresh throughout. The freedom to approach a certain area is simply amazing. The best thing in this game probably is the traversal. Voice acting is top notch, story is really good if you actually get into it.

The game falls flat at guiding the player at the initial stages of the game. By the time you understand the UI and how INFUSION works, you realise you are halfway through the game. The ending is a bit too drawn out.

Regardless of its glaring flaws and an average score of 7, I really wouldn't mind replaying this game.
